BEST WISHES 12/15/2018 – “Best Wishes”, is an Outreach proposal at the well-known Lebanon Farmers Market (35 South, 8th Street) from 10am to 1pm. It will be open to the community. The idea is to provide a place to come have some hot chocolate, listen to Christmas music in Spanish and English, take a Christmas picture and listen to a particular message in a particular atmosphere. If you want to be part, you can bring a friend, or come to hand out tracks to proclaim that the real Christmas is Jesus and offer prayer for the needs in this special occasion of hope.

SERVANTS IN FELLOWSHIP IS LOOKING FOR 3 PEOPLE to join a team headed to Haiti from January 12-19 to undertake a building project. If interested contact Travis Brubaker at 717-679-3571.

CHRISTMAS TREE OUTREACH FOR ALL AGES – we are again collecting items for several local ministries this year (Cedar Haven, Agape Family Shelter, SVPS, and COBYS (Gifts for the Children). Donations may be placed under the Christmas tree in the narthex through December 16. A detailed list can be found at the Information Centers.

WEEKEND TO REMEMBER FOR COUPLES is coming to Hershey, PA on February 15-17. Midway Church will pay half for members from our church who are interested. The Bogo Sale begins January 7. Contact Missy Newswanger for more details.

WOODCREST RETREAT is hosting “Journey to Bethlehem” with actors, a live nativity, and real animals on December 7, 8, 14 and 15. Arrive between 6 – 8:30 pm on Friday; 5 – 8 pm on Saturday. Cost is $10/adult; $5/children 4-16; and children 0-3 are free. All proceeds benefit Woodcrest Retreat ministry. Dress warmly as all activities are outside.

DECEMBER TRACTS – Christmas offers unique opportunities for open doors to talk to others about Baby Jesus and His great significance for our lives. Three seasonal tracts, “The Gift”, “Because of Bethlehem”, and “How Christmas Can Change Your Life” are on the tract racks. Share one with a friend, neighbor, or acquaintance! Then pray that the Holy Spirit will draw that person to Christ.

THE MINISTERS OF MUSIC will present a 40th anniversary concert at the Akron Church of the Brethren, 613 Main St. on Sunday, January 27 at 3:00 PM. The Ministers of Music is a male quartet singing God’s praises since their beginning in January 1979 in churches, camp meetings, retirement communities and other settings locally and annual tours to other states including four Caribbean cruises. Current members of the group are Lamar Dourte, Merle Gingrich, Bob Kettering and Ron Ludwick. A free-will offering will be received.

OUR CHURCH WILL BE THE HOST CHURCH for the LCCM overnight shelter program from December 28 – January 14. Would you consider spending the night on a cot as a chaperone for this group? An adult male and female chaperone are needed each evening. We will need some evening snacks – preferably individually wrapped snack bars, clementine’s, bananas, grapes, bottles water.
