A Congregational Information Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 22nd. This meeting will serve as an opportunity to address any questions related to the status of withdrawing from the Church of the Brethren denomination and to share an update on the facility planning. There will be no votes or official business on the agenda at this meeting. Everyone is encouraged to attend and to participate as we consider what God has planned for us as a faith family at Midway. If you have a question (or suggestion) that you would like to have addressed as part of this meeting, please submit it to the Elder Ministry Team by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org – or drop it in the designated box at either of the Information Centers.
There is a Congregational Business Meeting scheduled for Sunday July 1st at 7:00 PM to conduct business and hold votes as appropriate regarding withdrawing from the Church of the Brethren denomination. The ANE District Board is scheduled to put forth new polity and a process regarding withdrawing from the denomination on June 21st. The July 1st Congregational Business Meeting will provide opportunity for us as a congregation at Midway to discuss, conduct business and hold votes as appropriate based on the ANE District polity/process. Everyone is strongly encouraged to attend the meeting.

SPECIAL OFFERING PLANNED for Travis & Erin Brubaker on May 13th – Travis & Erin Brubaker are in the process of raising the required support to begin serving as missionaries in Haiti with Servants in Fellowship Ministries. The Sunday morning offering on May 13 designated for outreach will be given entirely to helping Travis, Erin and their family reach the initial level (approximately $80,000) required to transition to mission service in Haiti. Please pray for Travis, Erin and their family as they continue follow Jesus where He calls them.
A NEW SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL ELECTIVE is being offered to high school seniors and college students beginning May 27 in Room 109. The study “Fearless Faith” will be taught by Dan Geib. This series will help you become fearless about your Christian beliefs. More details can be found in the May Lamplighter.
CHILDREN ARE ENCOURAGED to start bringing weekly offerings to Sunday school beginning May 6.

A BAPTISM SERVICE will be held during the Wednesday Night Wave on April 25 at 7 pm in the sanctuary. Steve & Debbie Evans will be baptized by Ron Brubaker. There will be children’s classes; however there will be no adult Bible studies this night. All are welcome!

SPORTSMAN’S COMMITTEE CLAY BIRD SHOOT is Sunday, April 29 at Steve & Bonnie Wenger’s farm at 1 pm. We will have two trap fields and a small pistol range. $10 cost per shooter to cover clays. Sign-up on the bulletin board in the narthex or the FLC lobby. Any questions, contact Dalton Koch. .
VBS VOLUNTEERS! PLEASE SAVE THE DATE(S) – All VBS volunteers should plan on attending one of the two meetings (May 13 OR May 20) scheduled for a VBS Teacher Training and Informational Session. These meetings will be held during Sunday school at 9:00 – 9:50 am in the Sanctuary. Please choose one of these dates to attend and thanks for volunteering to help at VBS 2018!
WORSHIP CHOIR AND MEN’S CHOIR will be singing at Teen Challenge on Friday night, May 18 at 7 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend this musical program.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER is May 3. You are invited to attend the 8th Annual Community Prayer Breakfast at Lebanon Valley Family YMCA at 7 am and prayer time at 7:30. Cost is $5/person for the breakfast. Come gather together and pray for our community!

VBS IS June 10-14 – The theme is “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus.” Registration forms are available now to register your children. Registration can also be done online on the church website.

ADULT WORK CAMP to Marion County, South Carolina is scheduled for August 5-11. Sign-up sheets are posted in the narthex and FLC lobby if interested. Volunteers are needed.

2. May 27 – Golf Outing/Bible Study. Meet at church at 4 pm to go miniature golfing at Yogey’s or Frisbee golf at South Hills Park. Come back to church for ice cream and Bible study. Cost of mini-golf is $6.50. Frisbee golf is free but you must provide your own Frisbees.
3. High School Graduate Recognition Sunday is June 3. Graduates should worship in the FLC this day where the live recognition will take place.
